About the SEPA First Suburbs Project

About Us

The Southeastern Pennsylvania First Suburbs Project is a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation that is seeking federal tax status as a 501(c)(3) organization.

The Project emerged out of discussions by leaders from the older, developed suburbs of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties, who recognize that their communities face common challenges.

The Project's name is taken from a Brookings Institution study, "One-Fifth of America: A Comprehensive Guide to America's First Suburbs," which explains these common challenges nationwide.

Institutional Membership

The First Suburbs Project is in the process of securing institutional members, such as boroughs and townships, faith-based organizations, policy groups and other institutional and community groups that are based in the developed suburbs of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
