| Who: | This training is for leaders from all over the country who want to become more effective in making a difference - including organizers and volunteers from the faith community, labor, electoral politics, public office holders and grassroots leaders. |
| What: | The training teaches ordinary people to unleash their capacity to impact the social, political, environmental, and economic decisions affecting their lives. The training has been designed and will be conducted by experienced organizers affiliated with the Gamaliel Foundation, the organizing institute that Barack Obama worked with and trained with in Chicago. |

| Cost: | The tuition plus room and board for this six-day residential training is $1150 per participant or $550 for affiliates and qualified applicants. |

This training will allow you to reflect upon your experiences and what it means for you to be a leader in the public arena. You will engage with other participants in a learning community that emphasizes self-reflection, introspection and mutual inquiry. You will benefit from an environment, which will give you the opportunity to take risks, practice new behaviors and re-examine your current strengths and weaknesses. By the end of the week, you will develop a personal plan of action for becoming a more effective and powerful person.
